today i went to SB police to contest my parking ticket. the desk person was very nice, and that was cool. he said he'd file my paper thingys for me.

so that reminded me of the second bad thing that happened to me on thursday.

i got home, not expecting any mail cuz i never get any, and there it was! JURY SUMMONS!! the first thing that came to mind was, wtf...i just did this less than a year ago. and it's true. i was summoned last summer to serve (good thing i didn't get picked). i have nothing against jury duty, but if you got summoned to do it TWICE within the past 365 days and you know there's at least a million other people who are just as qualified as you, you'd be pretty pissed off too. so now i just filled out my summons, and i wrote they should exempt me this time because i just went on july 18, 2006. good thing i keep important papers cuz there's no way i could've remembered that date on my own.
