my uci parking permit came in the mail yesterday, and i'm now officially $432 poorer. plus, there are still 3 classes that i need books for. if all goes well, i'll only be $300 poorer in the next couple of weeks. if not, i really should be prepared to spend about $400 if not more.

also, i need to start saving up for grad school. i figured i'll try to get in to calpoly pomona because it's cheap to go there (less than half of what my parents are paying for my undergrad) and it's a good school. it's the only school in socal that offers an accredited program in urban planning and it's ranked in the top 25 in the country. i have a decent gpa, but i think i'm gonna need killer letters of recommendation. i probably won't do so hot on the gre (on account that i haven't studied yet), so now the plan is to kick some ass in school and raised my gpa a tad bit more and get kickass letters of recommendation. i guess if i don't get in to pomona, i'll take it as a sign that i'm not meant for grad school. then, i'll just be a slave to corporate america a couple of years earlier than planned.

gah...i need a new resume. i dont know where that old one went so updating the old isn't an option anymore. but i think it's good too because i get to practice writing a resume and selling myself on paper. and i think everything i had in my old doesn't matter anymore because i have all these new things that i learned this summer that i'm hoping will fill up my new resume. at least if i don't get in to grad school, i'll still have a chance to make something of my life and get a nice real job.
