to celebrate the first birthday of my tattoo, i went to sea world. yay for good times! it was just me and my Little Star, and of course, i didn't tell her exactly why i was splurging on such a birthday party. she knows about it (and she's seen it too!), but i really don't want her to think i'm crazy. i think i deserve some little dignity. it's all i have now. but anyway, it was a fun trip. we went twice (saturday and sunday), and we got to see all the shows and went on all the rides. and we loved all of it! we even went to see the sharks, which she didn't really enjoy but i did. haha. maybe because the sharks looked more threatening than the other animals on exhibit.
when you go in to the shark place, there are no railings or thick glass cages for the sharks. they're just swimming in an open pond, and i think if you're ball-sy enough, you could stick your hand in there and touch the little baby sharks. but then of course, you'd probably get caught and get kicked out of the park. the more interesting part though is the giant ceiling aquarium where the big sharks are. there is this room, downstairs from the ponds with the little baby sharks, and the entire ceiling is an aquarium where all the big sharks are. there's this horizontal escalator-looking thing (i don't know what it's called but it looks like a conveyor belt, the kind you see at airports and at the bridge outside the Belagio, you know what i mean), and so if you're on this thing, the walls beside you and the ceiling above you are all glass and all the big sharks are swimming behind all the glass. so it's like walking in a tunnel surrounded by big sharks. i guess that was why my Little Star didn't like it much. she liked everything else though.
so that was the fun part of the weekend.
but on the suckier side of life (i know! i know! half-empty!), my cousin asked me a math question a few minutes ago, i swear upon my hamster's grave, i almost made her as stupid as i am! she was asking about functions and domains for numbers with radicals, and i was like uhhh....i ended up telling her the exact opposite of the right thing. but i was quick to realize that i'm borderline retarded (yes, again and again and again) and went to consult my trusty TI-30X and immediately corrected myself. yay me! so in the end, she got the right information, and now i'm blogging about a horrible math mistake and feeling sorry for my jello of a brain.
