last night i took TWO shots of cherry Nyquil to cure my semi-insomnia (and also to stop coughing my brains out). within less than an hour, i was knocked out and stayed asleep until 6:10 am. 9+ hours of sleep! yay! yay for good times! it felt so good to not wake up in the middle of the night and to actually sleep like a normal person. and now i'm not coughing as much and i feel good about myself. i guess the only bad thing about drugging myself to sleep was that waking up was a lot harder and i was a little sleepy at work (although i got past this after ~9am). so tonight i'm only taking a shot of my beloved cherry Nyquil. i think it'll be just enough to make me sleep (and stay asleep) and then i'll wake up feeling good again and won't fall asleep at work tomorrow. this could be the start of a better life.
but wait for it, wait for it. NOT! tomorrow is Veterans Day holiday, and many people won't have to go to school or go to work (only the government people), but i will be working...not my regular 8 hours but at least 9 hours. my boss has a deadline next week so she wants our group to put in extra hours this week so she'll actually make her deadline. meh. i guess i don't mind the extra hours of work because i hardly notice the time when i'm working anyway, but the thing i know i'm going to hate is that i won't be getting paid for my extra hours of work. i'm on salary so no overtime pay for me. so that's double sad face.
but then again, on the brighter side of life, i'll be going home later so maybe i'll only have to deal with less traffic, which is always a good thing. i'm pretty sure my hellish commute will be toned down a little. actually, today i left work at 5:30 and i was home at 6:20. and that's not bad at all. i normally leave work at 5 and get home at around 6:10-6:15. so it's really not so bad at all.
but meh to not getting paid overtime. but yay to a faster commute!
